Music is Healing that Trancends Time and Space-Gary Fox

I started playing guitars after a freak motorcycle accident when I was about 13 years old. The accident left me unable to walk for a very long time, and after about a year into my rehabilitation, my mother bought me a Univox Electric Guitar. I didn't know much about guitars, so I started taking half-hour guitar lessons from local music shops. My teachers were all very good, but a few years passed and I didn't seem to be getting any better.

One day, a friend of mine introduced me to Mike Corbin, a "phenomenal" guitar teacher from South Florida. I was not very excited and didn't think he could help me much, but after my first lesson I was completely blown away and could not put my guitar down! I ended up taking about 4 years of lessons with Mike Corbin, and after that I started playing at local shows and gigs.

The best lesson that I've learned is that you should never give up. I never thought I would play professionally, so when someone tells me that I am good, or that they want to learn from me, it is very humbling to me. I hope you all find the joy and the love that I've found in music in whatever you choose to do in life.

Thank you so much for taking your time to view my website. God bless,
Gary Fox

Guitar Styles and Influences

Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Hendrix, Eric Johnson, Steve Morse, and many more. But, my all time favorite is my teacher, Mike Corbin. Mike used to play in a band called Front Runner in the mid 1980's, along with bass player Wally Voss (from the Yngwie Malmsteen band), Chuck Doty on drums, and lead singer Tom Gorman.
